FAQ
Possible reasons for error code 91 in saltwater systems and sand filter pumps
- Insufficient amount of salt in the water
Pour the correct amount of salt evenly over the entire area of the pool. Do not add the salt through the skimmer as it might clog. To speed up the dissolution of the salt, spread the salt evenly over the bottom of the pool, for example with a broom. The salt should not stay at one place on the bottom. All the salt should be dissolved after 24 hours, then you can turn on the saltwater system. Set the desired time. Follow the tables provided in the manual.
If the error code 91 is still present even though you added the correct amount of salt specified in the user manual, do not add more salt. The amount of salt is likely not the problem and the error is caused by something else – proceed to points 2 and 3.
- The electrode requires cleaning
Clean the electrode (by immersing it in vinegar water) according to the user manual.
- The electrode requires replacing
If the pool water contains the right amount of salt
and the electrode(s) is clean, the electrode probably
needs replacing. If the product is under warranty,
make a warranty claim at your dealer. Otherwise ask for the electrode as a spare part. You can find the spare part number in your user manual. It is a 5-digit numeric code.
Possible reasons for error code 92 in saltwater systems and sand filter pumps with saltwater systems
- Too much salt in the water
If the saltwater system displays error code 92, the system detected excessive amount of salt in the water. To solve the problem, start by cleaning the electrode according to the manual. Then the amount of salt in the water should be reduced. Remove roughly 25% of the pool water and add fresh water, until the error code 92 disappears.
- Malfunctioning electrode
If the device is under warranty, make a warranty claim at your dealer. You may also order a new electrode as a spare part.
- Water temperature is 35 °C or more
Try lowering the water temperature.
